I didn’t realize until last week that the end of year exam was comprehensive – I assumed that the test would be on the quarter only. Also, it is in two parts and I’m pretty sure that they both can’t be done in one day, so they’ll have to be done on Tuesday and Wednesday.
For practice, I’ll use the twenty-question multiple choice exam that I wrote for quarter four after going over the chapter 9 test.
There are two days left in the quarter and on the last day I have to give the quarterly assessment. So today I’m going to go back over systems of equations to help them prepare for that exam.
In preparation for the district quarterly assessment (on chapters three and four), we did a review sheet from chapter 3 (actually, it was my makeup exam for the chapter).
Because of MLKJr Day (Monday) and end-of-quarter grading day (Friday), we’ll review two days and take the exam on Thursday.
For the second day, I’m unsure what I want to do at this point, but I’ve put all the objectives for the two chapters on a PowerPoint presentation. I’m not sure how I want to show them problems that meet these objectives. I don’t want to do yet another worksheet, and I don’t want to have to write problems on the board over and over again. But I also know that the students won’t listen to me talk about objectives for forty minutes after going over the worksheet from the previous day, either.
